And this past year, what made me sit up and pay attention was the fact that I didn't have any dramas with poor shifting, rear brake caliper problems, successive flats on training rides, etc.
So here's a closer look at the bike that got me smoothly through 2014:
Shimano DURA-ACE TT 11-Speed Groupset
Maxxis Clincher Racing Tires: Columbiere and Courchevel
Specialized S-Works Shiv TT
It's so light and stiff, and handles so much better than any other TT bike I've been on before. This is very important to me, as I'm not the best at technical turns and downhills. The ride feels balanced, and at the same time agile. I've tried and tested it on flats, rolling courses like Metaman Bintan, and races with steep hills like Challenge Phuket and 5150 Subic Bay. Bottomline - I've never felt more comfortable and confident on my bike.
